Disappear – Song

<GRAPHIC FOR SONG>

The story behind this song, Time Or Place, Distance, and Solitude is very long.  If you are interested in that story grab CC at a gig and ask him.

The original version of this song was written in the late 1970’s.  It was resurrected for this project.  Vocals were recorded by the talented Wilson Ligon and Trilby Rose at the HAAP studio.  Everything else was recorded, mixed and mastered in various rooms of CC’s house.  It is a story of the damage of PTSD and lost opportunities.

Lyrics:

It started out so good
But I always knew we would
Now I’m losing my crown
By letting my guard down
It was always supposed to be
Someone else but never me
Maybe I should take it slow
Don’t let my feelings ever show

Hide them away
Like I’ve got nothing left to say
I’ll see you around
cause I’m slowing things back down

I never wanted to let you go
Never wanted to walk away
Only wanted to take the time to
Find my way
And all the things that I couldn’t say
About the scars that will never heal
I hope that someday they’ll fade away and
Disappear

Now you pried your way in
So I pulled back again
You always seemed so sure
That I could be cured
I just needed some space and time
To let my heart fight with my mind
Some time to understand
If I should leave or take your hand

I wish I knew
What I’m supposed to do
I know this ain’t no game
Deep down I feel the same

I never wanted to let you go
Never wanted to walk away
I only wanted to take the time to
Find my way
And all the things that I couldn’t say
About the scars that will never heal
I hope that someday they’ll fade away and
Disappear

Mixed up in all
Of these feelings
I wish that I could
Start believing
In the things that
You have told me
And that you will
Not destroy me

I never wanted to let you go
Never wanted to walk away
Only wanted to take the time to
Find my way
And all the things that I couldn’t say
About the scars that will never heal
I hope that someday they’ll fade away and
Disappear

I never wanted to let you go
Never wanted to walk away
Only wanted to take the time to
Find my way
And all the things that I couldn’t say
About the scars that will never heal
I hope that someday they’ll fade away and
Disappear
